Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Ok, let’s see if I can get this in the right order for once….I am attempting to find out as much information as possible about my family history. My grandmother’s name was Margaret Lunelle (Austin) Kelly (1926-2008), her mother was Mary Magdalene Austin *never married* (1902-1955) her mother was Saphronia Isabele (Horn) Austin (1877-1961) and her husband was Charles Franklin Austin (1875-1928), his father was John Franklin Austin (1850-1919), his father was Elike Austin (1814-1871) after Elike everything gets pretty fuzzy, I’ve found listings for his father under different names and with different wives and all kinds of things. I believe the direct line goes back to Richard Austin (John Austin Sr’s brother) but I’m trying to make sure and get it further back than that if possible, thank you all in advance for any help or information you can provide.
Stephanie
I stand corrected, after she had already had all of her children(2 of them, Jake Austin and Margaret Austin), Maggie Austin married a man by the last name of Gully and was buried Margaret Gully in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
