These are very familiar places for me, since I grew up and still near this area. (Used to go for rides on the Dan River Queen) Many of you will also find some familiar names here. There is a photo of Henry Hardin Hall on the gristmill page. The PC Courthouse page has pictures of the war memorials there. Hard to read some, but the WWII (and Korean War) stone is very clear.

Surnames of interest include HALL, COX, REYNOLDS, HARBOUR, MARTIN, SHELTON, TURNER, SMITH, etc.
