Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Hello Everyone,
I was wondering what ever happened to the pawpaw trees? I can remember eating them as a child, they are delicious. I haven’t seen any pawpaws in quite a few years and wondered if you all have them in Virgina? I had Loganberry juice in Canada, the people there said that’s where you find the Logan Berry’s at. I wondered if that is true, does anyone know for sure?
I believe I’ve heard of paw paw trees down here, though I haven’t seen one.
We have the paw paw trees here in ohio. I live in southeastern ohio. The fruit is ripe now. Send me an address and I will try to get the seed for you and maybe you can grow your own tree.

Thank you Lesia,
I am from Southeastern Ohio, where you at? I might be down that way in the next couple weeks and would love to pick them up from you. I attended the PawPaw Moon Festival this past week-end and a fellow had a handful, however, I missed out on getting one from him, haven’t had a pawpaw in a while. wondered where he found em at? Many people have never eaten them before and don’t know the medicinal uses that our folks used them for.
tasheaka:)
I believe, but am not for sure, that you have to have at least 2 Paw Paw trees to produce fruit….they need to cross pollinate first. Might want to check this out first before planting just one.
