Hello everyone,
I was given a tip that I might find info on this site regarding the Pompeys.
Specifically, Fielding Pompey is my ggggf who was from E. VA., but I have no futher info regarding his parents or his history in VA. He along with others,Jeffries/Jones, traveled to In, OH and MI.
Any info would be appreciated.
Teresa Pompey Wilson-formerly from Cass County MI
Hi Teresa,
Do you have the census records on Fielding? If not, I have some of them. I suspect the Britton Jones family you mentioned is related to mine, but I have haven’t been able to prove or disprove it yet. Their names and locations are just too much of a coincidence for me.

Have you seen this link for the Jeffries Cemetery in Whitley County? It lists the Pompeys, Jones, Jeffries, Keen, Crone, Winburn, etc. buried there.
