Not sure how many knew that Ed’s mother had made a turn for the worse…but, just wanted to let you know that she passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Even though she is in a better place, the loss of life giver is a tremendous one. Would like to ask for prayers for Ed and his family, may Creator give them strength to get through these dark days.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Grassy Creek Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The visitation will be Friday night at the Gentry-Newell Funeral Home in Oxford from 7-8:30 p.m.

Ed, So sorry for your loss~even though your Mother has come full circle in her life and she is in heaven~it is always hard to tell a loved one good bye. She will live on in your heart and in you and your children and theirs. I can’t remember where I read this or who to credit it to and it isn’t verbatim, but it goes something like~Our Great Grandfathers believed that when they give their last sigh into the wind~it is the same wind that is there when their Grandchildren draw their first breath and so we must live our lives knowing that whatever we do in our life~times, we do with the realization it will affect the next 7 generations to come. Just always remember….this world is just a trial of life…and there is a much better place we go to after this one……
In our current form of humans we are not worthy to enter the greater place…however after death we thus become worthy of the greater place……a place where it is always spring time….a place we never grow old….a place where money is no longer needed….a place where we know no pain….a place where food is always available…….it’s a greater place…..and the great one has now deemed her worthy to enter the greater place. When the creator chooses us…it is a great honor for he thus deemed us among the great ones who has been seen worthy enough to eat upon his table.
