Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
ThomasDG,
Hi! Have you used the search here for Corn? There are some postings on the forum with some info.

Vance,
I will see if my cousins on the home place want any visitors before I alert anyone at the Osage tribe. I do agree, they could help us nail this down.
Sometimes the obvious escapes us. My great grandfather’s older sister died before she could grow up. She was born in 1876. Her name was Leullewah McKinney. She is buried in the family cemetery and is the most recent burial with a native name. If anyone knows what tribe or language group would name a young girl “Leullewah”, we would know the local tribe. This is definitely an authentic native name and was not named from our family but after my Great great grandmother’s best friend who was native and lived in the proximity.
Have we beat this Osage thing to death yet?
TDG
