Re: “SOUTH CAROLINA INDIANS….” by Theresa Hicks.
This book is out of print, however, about five or six years ago, I somehow finaggled the author’s phone number and called her in hopes of obtaining a copy. She was as pleasant as could be, but alas, she had no other copies for sale and knew of no source to buy one. I was completely bummed out, since four of the surnames she lists in her table of contents are my surnames also. Anyway (as I recall), she did say that the state archives in Columbia, South Carolina has a non-circulating copy. Soooo, if anyone either has or obtains a copy – or, if anyone ever visits the South Carolina Archives, I’d be most appreciative of a look-up of my four surnames.
NOTE: During that same time frame, I tried to contact a rare book dealer claiming to have a copy for sale but discovered that he was an American soldier in Iraq who had suspended his book business until his return to the states.
It pays to keep trying. I just found a copy of the genealogy on my Ralstons at a rare book store in Maine. I have been looking for one for years.

Looks like she’s not taking orders for it right now, though.

Well, I did a little more looking around for info on these books and came across some interesting links…
Like Coharie Roy, I too would like to have some info on these books if anyone has them or has access to them. I can check my rare book store in Minneapolis, but finding info about VA, NC & SC in Minnesota is rare, now if it were “Plains Indian,” there would be a plethura of info.
I have not looked too closely at these links, so please post any worthwhile info you find.
