Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
These documents are great, the missing years from about 1720 to date needs some attention to say the least.
What some may look for is either unpublished papers etc, such as diaries and bibles, short historical articles and local histories.
Aswell we need a chronolgy done on locations and dates etc prior to the forced abandonment of tribal areas and the new areas that ESNDN people moved into.
I think that once we have a time frame to work in we may find new undiscovered material.
The one item posted in O.S.Doc’s, is when the Sisspaha were living with the Sara poeple, this is really interesting and makes me question the identity of the Sara woman.
Perhaps a seperate thread just for the time frame materials.?
Tom,
This is the first I’ve read this post. Thank you it is a good path to follow. We may find some very interesting things that could be helpful. When you get a chance, e-mail me and kind of fill me in some more so I can dig around. I’ve been pretty tied up, but things are starting to slow down a little I think. I know Kerry has been doing some work in this area, as well. Lynella.
