Dan Akin wrote: Checking that Nottoway deeds list again for William Sizemore, it appears that he was on Fort Branch of Mayes’ Branch a branch off of Flat Creek. Checking my topo-map, Flat Creek has headwaters near Burkville in Nottoway Co. not too far from the Nottoway River and near the headwaters of Deep Creek. from there it heads up through Amelia County and empties into the Appomattox River near Chula.
Dan.
Dreamhawk and others. This is the land Daniel Hamlin and William Sizemore had. As i understand from this forum Sizesmore is related to the Greens. There was a post hear earlier that stated hamblen and Sizesmore owned both sides of flat creek. Daniel Hamlin owned a lot of land with many but most seem to be names on this forum. will look for location of sweathouse. If i rember correctly they are on Flat Creek too. We’ll see.
Thanks for everyone looking.
Janette
