My earlier research into my possible Bass/e connection proved to be a bust. Nonetheless, I am determined to find my Native ancestry. Below are three questions I have:
1. When did the Eastern Blackfoot identity begin to coalesce?
2. Are there any Saponi and/or Eastern Blackfoot DNA projects around I could join?*
3. What are some common Saponi surnames from Virginia?
*I’ve had a lot of technical trouble with FTDNA in the past, I can’t even access my real account anymore.
My plan is to join a Saponi DNA project and compare my matches. I also hope to weed out some common Virginia Saponi names to see if I have any matches among them.
