Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I had a button made up for a visit to the Va General Assembly. It is simple, clean and had a good message. “I am not Extinct.” As I talked with the Delegates about other issues, most asked about the button and I was able to talk about recognition for the 8 tribes in Virginia as well as bringing along the fact that there are still Sapponies in Virginia. I even found one Delegate that had similar heritage, knew my family, and possibly could be Sappony.
I had one button made by a button guy I know. After the lobby day, I thought that maybe others might want a button. I am trying to place the picture here, but this is my first attempt, so give me some prayer support for this. If anyone wants one, and we can get 25 ordered, he will make them for about $2.50. I’ll eat the postage. Just let me know.
This is slightly different than mine. I had Va Sappony on mine, but I thought that Nation would be a better option. I am open to suggestions as well.
We can make changes to the button if we want.
If you are interested, email me at parker.allen@verizon.net. 🙂
