I have just learned that there are several COLLINS’ closely associated with my CHAPMANS of the Granville, Nutbush NC area, through the Benjamin/John (H.) CLARDY family & John Shepherd HARGROVE family. They are William, Thomas, John, Polley, Elizabeth & Nancy (in no particular order). Marriages for these folks were all after 1780, so I don’t know if they connect to the COLLINS’ of the Flatt River area found on tax lists of the 1750’s.

Any thoughts, ideas, information or suggestions on how to proceed researching these folks to determine whether or not there is a familial relationship with Flat River COLLINS’ would be greatly appreciated.
