I posted a reply a few days ago, but must have messed up. Thank you all for the sweet words. They mean a lot. I had a nice day. My kids fixed me a surprise party.
DH – never mind about the senior discount. My childhood photos are in B&W because my family was artistic, not because color was not yet available!
TT- ironic you should have bought a camper, I’ve been scoping out the new, gorgeous cabins they’ve put in at Occoneechee State Park, thinking we should bring the annual campout indoors next year. They’re huge A-line log lodges right on the lake.
Happy birthday, Linda, albeit a little late. Without your wonderful website, I would’ve missed out on a big chunk of my heritage.

So glad you had a good day…you deserve every bit of it. Kids can be amazing things some times. They can exasperate you…but, then turn around and do things that just amaze you….showing that they were listening after all.
I guess I must have had artistic family, too, and didn’t even know it until now….and cabins…wow….sounds like we are “moving on up”..:D
