Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is holding a Southeast Indian Studies Conference with theme: Tradition, Identity and Recognition, April 14 and 15, 2005
I am awaiting an email with a schedule and I will post it when I get it. In the meantime you can go to the following website for the announcement. UNCP is about an hour from home for me so I hope to be able to take a couple sick days to go to it. UNCP, by-the-way, was started to serve the education needs of the southeastern Indian tribes and is located in the midst of the current Lumbee Indian community area.

I have attached the flyer for the conference in the Share History forum.
