Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I found a Stephen Ruffin in the Cheraw District of Darlington County in the 1790 SC census. I thought it might interest some of you.

Stephen RUFFIN born about 1750, Edgecombe Co, NC, was in Cheraw District in 1790 and in Darlington County following that. Am interested in all RUFFIN families of that period.

I couldn’t remember who was the Ruffin relative on here…
I just saw it while looking for my Teals/Teels/Teales/Teeles/Tealls in SC and knew I had seen it on here on the forum.
I just found a Ruffin Cemetery on Google Earth.
It is on Hwy 29 in North Carolina, on Ruffin Road.
It is at 36 deg 27min 8.12sec North and 79 deg 32 min 24.93 sec West.
It’s actually in Ruffin, NC, just northeast of Reidsville.
