Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Linda, Barry, and forumn buddies,
This year has been a year of ups and downs not only in my family but in the world. I haven’t been on the forum much the past weeks as I am updating the origional Appalachian Mountain Families website three of us cousins uploaded in 1997. I am hoping for a December 1 opening to the public.
In the meantime I am having 17 come on Thursday for a sit down dinner and the entire tribe for desserts at 6 PM. Family has always been important to me and this year with the passing of my beloved husband I thank God for my family and friends.
One of our family traditions is to hold hands around the table and say one thing that we are truly thankful for. This year I am thankful I had my research, my wonderful computer buddies, and live in America where a widow isn’t turned out in the streets with a tincup to beg for enough money to keep from starving.
Best wishes for a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
Brenda
