That link was very interesting…didn’t realize I was an owl person (Virgo). And your work at Pine Ridge sounds very satisfying….what a great reward to know you are making the world a better place for the kids. Rock on!
April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26034I still need to check out the animal totem site. In traditional astrology I’m a Taurus too with Aries rising in the 1st house and a Virgo moon (kinda got into astrology for a time). “Persistent” is how I like to think of that stubborn thing, just not giving up. The Aries, I swear, sometimes words just fly out of my mouth without me even thinking them. Virgo is attention to detail and love of history. So here we are; this is making a lot of sense.
I once read that your rising sign, almost or equally as important as your sun sign, is in the sign immediately preceding your sun sign 40% of the time. Mine does. If yours does techteach, that would be Pisces, driven to serve humanity as a whole.
blackindiangirl, designing houses sounds interesting, are you an architect? The smell of wood is good.
🙂 Where’s the piñata?
April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26124Hey guys…..I’m a Virgo, and the totem hit me on the head.
Wachinika……it IS fun!!! Especially when it’s been given to you as a TALENT! No, I’m not a certified Architect, but I might as well be. I hand draw the house plans. Then “mind” create a 2D of the front of the house. Sometimes I like to draw the inside of one of the rooms and interior decorate it……(all on graph paper).
Some “trusted” Engineers I’ve chatted with who’ve gone over my work, say they are basically “ready to build”. From my dad to my great-grandfather they each designed and built all their houses……..so I guess it’s definitely in the genes.:D
I go crazy and longingly stare at the wood and tools everytime we go in a Home Depot or Lowe’s!:p I have an appt. w/an Arch. this wk, so I can get this party started!:D I guess I should’ve sent u a separate note, huh?
SORRY…………..I tend to go on and on……….HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN TECHTEACH!!!!!:D
April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26126BlackIndian Girl you sound very talented. Wachinika, I don’t know that much about astrological signs. I just know I am supposed to be a Taurus, May 3. Still would like to know what my totem is. Couldn’t quite figure aout the site I went on to determine that. God luuck to both of you~~~~Sophronia

April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26251Sophronia,
Guess I will have to make you a chocolate cake, huh? A woman after my heart….should have guessed. I have not had any Turkey Hill ice cream…have seen it in the store, but, not bought it.
Ken and I started attending pow wows 4 yrs. ago. We started with the one in Hillsborough and slowly attended many on the circuit, not all by any means. This year we will be limited because of financial constraints and the price of gas. One of the reasons I am looking forward to Clarksville, it’s not far from the house. We have a large circle of pow wow friends, both dancer and nondancer. It’s like a family reunion….along with hearing the drum….a really special occasion.

April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26252Yes, I guess you wiil:-). I think you will emnjoy the ice cream if you like marshmallows and nuts. I do!!! We had planned to come to the Clarksville pow-wow, but changed our plans when we thought it was all taking place at the one in June. Sorry we didn’t stick to our plans then I would have met you all. Perhaps somethime in the not to distant future. Are you going to the Homecoming in August that Felicia is having?? We might be going to that. Not confirmed yet though. Have a wonderful day and weekend. Sophronia
April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26287We are planning on it for now. Of course, you never know the path that Creator has planned for us…but, right now it looks like we will be able to make it in August.
April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26301It is a bit early to make definite plans, but it is good to have it on the forefront of your planning. I hope the entire Saponitown Forum people who are the attending the May 12th pow-wow will have a tremendous time. Sorry I couldn’t make this one. Planning to come down for the homecomng in August also. I Hope to continue to be informed of all the upcoming happenings for the balance of this year and the ’08 gatherings. Also HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all you moms and expectant moms~~~Peace Out~~~Sophronia
April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26323I am hoping the weather will hold out. They are talking about rain and storms…seems like it rains every time we try to get together in Clarksville, eh? But the temp is supposed to be reasonable. Looking forward to spending Mother’s Day with my second family….our family is celebrating next weekend when the kids are off work.
April 12, 2007 at 8:16 pm #26325Ok, so Clarksville only runs one day. Guess I will be sleeping in on Mother’s Day. Hope all our mothers and grandmothers have a wonderful day, too!

That sounds good, sleeping in. Have a wonderful time whatever you choose to do. I will be out of town until the 22nd of May, travelling with my sister and my neice. Will be back on line then, LORD willing. Enjoy the pow-wows and Mother’s Day and let me know how all turns out. Remember us in your prayers. Sophronia
