Tina…thanks for keeping us updated. Tell Brenda she will be in our prayers and thoughts as she battles this…she is a truly special person and very close to our hearts. Becky
March 16, 2005 at 9:35 pm #14527This is Tina again.
I let my mom know that she is in all of your prayers.
She has been moved to a rehibilitation hospital and they are treating the infection. She is having her good moments and her bad ones, but for the most part she seems to be reacting the the medication pretty well. They decided to lower her pain medication dosage because she was getting body spasms and confused, we are hoping that by lowering the dosage will help control that. She will be in for atleast a minimum of 10 days, but that will all depend on how she reacts to the meds and her kidneys are getting even worse so she might have to start dyalisis before she can come home also.
Once we have more news I will post again and let you all know how she is doing.
Love
Tina
March 16, 2005 at 9:35 pm #14554Thanks for posting the news, Tina. We appreciate it. Tell Brenda I’ve been working on her web pages. I’ve got everything downloaded, but have to rename pages and revise the links to get everything to work smoothly on my server.

March 16, 2005 at 9:35 pm #14978Hello my friends and family,
I got home from the hospital today after almost 2 months.
The infection I had was in the spinal colum and had to be treated with two antibotics….the strongest known to man. I had to have the antibotics by IV and they were given for six weeks. As far as we know the anfection is gone. Now we have to wean me off the pain medication.
I started dialysis a week and a half ago. It is going good. I feel much better and the cob webs have been cleared somewhat from my head.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you for all the prayers
and know they were answered. My internet family has really been with me.
My family here has been terrific. Tina took over the care of my 16 yr old granddaughter who I have guardianship over and managed to put in 40 hours a week in plus make it to the hospital every day. The girls cleaned house before I came home, the boys put down a new floor in the breezeway, and my grandson and his wife gave me the good news that I am going to be a GREAT GRANDMA in December……..not everybody is fighting!
Glad to be home……..
Brenda
