Howdy ya’ll…I wanted to mention that I just yesterday finally connected Vardy Collins to my Nichols line…I had all along know all about Valentine Collins but hadn’t a clue that Vardy was one of his brothers until I went digging for one of my Rachel Nichols…and happened upon a rootsweb posting that listed a Rachel Nichols as having married Allen Collins, son of Navarrah “Vardy” Collins and Margaret “Peggy Gibson. The Gibsons, Nichols, Collins, Cole’s and Perkins all run rampant thru my maternal lines as it is and I still yet hope to connect us precisely to the William Nichols who was on the 1840 census in Hawkins Co, TN along with scores of Collins families , including Vardy’s. Does anyone here have any further information on Allen Collin’s wife Rachel Nichols?…I’d love to learn more of her specifically and her extended family too.
