Waccamaw Siouan Tribe to host 53rd annual powwow Oct. 17–18.
The Waccamaw Siouan Tribe will celebrate its 53rd annual powwow Oct. 17–18 at the tribal grounds, 7239 Old Lake Rd. in Bolton. Grand entries are scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. A parade will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., with lineup at 10 a.m. at T & C Services on Jacobs Road. Admission is $8 for school day, $5 Friday evening after 4 p.m., and $10 Saturday. Children 4 and under are admitted free. Dancer registration is $10 and drum registration is $25.
