There seems to be a reduced search capability, like maybe the archives aren’t accessible to the search engine? It searches very recent messages, fine, but that may be all. Has anybody else had this problem? I may just be inept. (But, I used to be ept.)
May 11, 2006 at 1:53 am #21238Hey Tom,
I knew we are related. I got that picture from Deb (Sinkey Cousin).
I had a really neat thing happen with it – The granddaughter was one of the people who helped me with genealogy. She told me that her father said he was Irish and Indian. Anyway, I got this picture in a collection that Deb had from her grandmother and had scanned and sent to me. I printed this off and mailed it to this gentleman’s granddaughter. Her comments to me about her reaction when she opened the photo of her grandparents brought tears to my eyes.

May 11, 2006 at 1:53 am #21254I clicked on “archives” to see if it had a separate search but can’t get to archives. All I get is 404 Not Found….. that may be the problem. The archives are not linked to the new forum for some reason.?
May 11, 2006 at 1:53 am #21261Linda,
I did receive the email and I think the staying logged on problem has been solved by checking the “Remember Me” box. Thanks again.

May 11, 2006 at 1:53 am #21304Linda — not to nag, but now that the pow-wow has come and gone, can you fix the Search part of this new software so we can find old messages and threads, again?
May 11, 2006 at 1:53 am #21308Is it better now? I just updated that index. Sorry to keep you waiting.
May 11, 2006 at 1:53 am #21311Yes, it’s fine now, thanks.
Funny thing, while it wasn’t working I could still find old Saponitown posts with a Google search. (But only if I asked nicely.)
