I need to check in more often! Having grown up in Nicholas County (Richwood) I know what you guys are referring to when you speak of the feeling you get there. If it were economically feasible I would be living there now.

My heart goes out to you for the loss of your Mother~her spirit will live on thru you and her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and future offspring forever. Take care and may Creator help you thru this difficult time~Blessings~:) greydove

Me too David!:) However, I have too many children and grandchildren to leave Minnesota:) I will be visiting next summer!
Donna, I don’t know you but I’m jealous too. I’ve been wanting to go to Logan West Virginia to see the play on Aracoma, but can’t go this year, I think it has ended now. That do the play every year.
Carolyn
Hi Carolyn, Nice to meet you. Yeah, I have alot of roots in WV, VA, etc. Most of them are on my Dad’s side. I am getting ready to explore more on my Mom’s side now. Her father hailed from Knoxville, TN, and was “Irish~Indian” So far I haven’t been able to get back any farther than his father Robert Brady and mother Nancy (lnu) So, you live in Blue Ridge Mtn area of KY? I bet it’s beautiful. Take care, Donna 🙂 (}}greydove)
