Hello. I was hoping to get some more info on my ancestry. My grandfather on my mother’s side was Roy Carter Sr. His wife was Mabel Carter. My grandfather on my dad’s side was Marvin T. Wood & his wife was Ella Hardy Wood. I think we have some Coles’ on my mom’s side & Johnson’s on my dad’s side. I have a TON of family in Chase City and Boydton !! Thanks for any help!

Can you put some dates with your names?
It helps to know when, as well as where, to look for them.

June 30, 2005 at 2:47 pm #15432Hi, Bill! Thanks for the helpful hint…well…I think my grandpa Roy Carter sr. was born in Sept of 1900…I am not sure when his wife, Mabel was born. My other grandpa Marvin t. Wood born , around 1908-1910…& his wife Ella Hardy wood must have been born around 1918…she was nearly ten years younger, i think…
As for my cousin’s the Johnson’s ..I do not have much info except for the fact that Roger Johnson, Ronald Johnson & Ida Johnson are all brothers & sistes & there are a few more of them also..I am not even sure who their parents are..They are first cousins to my dad Lloyd Wood born march 10, 1935 or 1936..I foget! lol
Thanks for any info you can offer!
