June 22, 2006 at 1:08 pm #21943What will did you find for a William? Was it William born in 1720 or his son? It is his son William that I need a will for with Millie listed as a child. I know William born in 1720 had a daughter named millicent in 1749. The Millie I am looking for was born around 1776.

June 22, 2006 at 1:08 pm #21965That’s my Millie but I have not seen this will. How do I go about finding it?
June 22, 2006 at 1:08 pm #21970I also have a Robbins to look for, that may be related. Do you have a Thomas Robbins, born c. 1777 Wallins Creek VA, that married an E. Jane? (Son Charles b. 1800 Russel co VA married Sarah Jane McGraw)
Do you (or anyone) know for sure if/with whom the Robbins line of VA/NC is connected with Saponi or other NA? If it is I am looking at the possibility that EVERY line on my dads’ family likely has Native ancestry.

I just saw the will and it says nothing about Millie. It says he ahd 3 sons and one daughter and her name was Charity Braswell wife of Issac Braswell. This is the 1826 will.

June 22, 2006 at 1:08 pm #21984Lentz,
I appreciate all your help but I found all this info a year ago but I have been looking for proof that my Millie who married Theophilus Moore was indeed the daughter of William Robbins and Phoebe Williams. We have asked these researchers for proof and none of them respond to any inquiries about this information. If I can’t find proof were did they find it is all I am saying and I wonder why they will not respond to me about this question. It just leads me to believe that they have no proof just put her there because it looked right, understand what I mean?

June 22, 2006 at 1:08 pm #21985Well, Im sorry I was trying to help. I thought they had proff by the wat they were talking. Wish you the best on your search. I just knew the info was the same as yours. If I ever run across it I will let you know. Have you looked at the year on the (garner county)I noticed it said( garner )Edgecombe couty ,maybe thats a lead,I dont know if Edgecombe county was split at one time. Sorry, I couldnt help. But, yes I understand what you mean.
June 22, 2006 at 1:08 pm #21994Lentz,
Gardner is a town on the border of Edgecombe and Wilson County well really just a crossroads today. My gggrandfather John Moore is buried near there. Millie was his grandmother. This is also near the location of my Etheridge line and John W. Moore and Mary Susan Etheridge were my gggrandparents. It makes sense that Millie would be the child of William and Phoebe Robbins but I just wanted some solid proof.
