Steve, where are those records from? A census?
janette, what is that link? I couldn’t figure out where it’s coming from, what it’s a listing of.

I have yet to see the book and verify it’s contents. I do not own book, but made note of book as it was referenced as source in others genealogies online or from local library. Cannot remember which.
I revolve on my family data sheets in order to save my sanity. So when something dries up on information, I move to another family line, or to another parental line. I often send findings of books to cousins of mine who have access to genealogical libraries, that I simply do not have access to, in their state. When a resource is availble to me I will do this myself, but coming from a smaller rural area, this is not always the case.
They will make a trip or two a year to these libraries and research what I send them in order of verification. This past year resulted in them not being able to go because of a family member being critically injured by a hit and run driver (He was literally struck,as a pedestrian, and is now back home, but not what he once was), so I haven’t bothered to forward this to them as of yet.
As of now, they are researching our Hale line, and I am, primarily, researching our Adkins/Parker lines. The Clay line just hasn’t spun back around yet, outside of recenly finding an online PDF of a book on my paternal ancestors that shows a marriage of one of my ancestor’s descendants marrying into my maternal Clay line. Which I just saved to my favorites for future reference.

The link i gave is all the information i have. It does not have a title or source. Pulled it up early in my research and saved it … I often just do a name search and plow through the information and get lucky some times. I will see if i can find it again. Lots of our fourm names on the list of land patents. You will see Danial Hamlin/Hamblen as well as William Hamllin/Hamblen on the list. My folks. It may have been a search just for land patents Amelia Co Va… Too long ago. I know now to record the source too. Live and learn.
