AnonymousInactiveI got into a book called Back To Eden.
I used GoldenSeal native to America and Burdock root steeped in pre-boiled water 30 minutes, strained and I drank 2 cups of it.
I did this for tonsillitis I had for 6 months that didn’t respond to any
penicillin, Ampicillin, erythromycin or tetracycline.
The next morning it was gone . I drank another cup–for good measure.
It never returned.
Herbs Etc brand has an excellent kidney tonic that’s good for urinary tract
infections

Hi Granny8
Funny you asked this question, I was just talking to my step mom about the same thing. I read that Dandelion root is real good for cleaning the liver and kidneys. Simmer one ounce clean, cut up root with two pints water for 60 minutes in a covered glass or stainless steel pot, the water will reduce by about 1/2. drink one cup, three times a day. Another thing that is real good for cleansing the body is PURE Noni Juice, the only place I have found pure noni juice is “The Whole Foods Market” the price is rather high, but you only drink three ounces a day, it’s a 32oz bottle. I gave noni juice to my grandson who was on antidepressants and ADHD medication; after a few day on Noni juice (I don’t remember which end it came out of) but it was a black tarey looking substance. He has successfully been on Homeopathic remedies ever since. If you try either remedy I hope it works great for you also.

May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #27999Has any one used the mullin to draw on a sore, or to redue swelling? It does work . You wrap the mullin leave around the leg, arm. than wrap a bandage around that and leave it on over night. We used to use the orange water flowers , for when we got into nettles. The leaves of the flowers were rubbed over the itching , it would stop it. My mother have me these bits of knowledge as a kid.
Thanks Linda !
May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28001Hi everyone,
It was suggested i do dandelion tea too by my Lakota friend. He said to keep things in balance you use equal parts leaves and root. The brew procedure is the same as above.
You can go online to get Noni Juice or if in the west it is alot cheeper at Costco. My Dad used it for Lukemia. He lived a lot longer than usual.

Just learned about Compound X for removal of skin cancer and melanoma. Just google it and your can find it online. It is rather high priced but it works. Is based on and old Indian formula.

May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28056Thanks everyone!! I have plenty of dandylions in the yard so I am going to try the tea. Could I dig up more roots and pick the leaves to dry for winter? Or could I just freeze them? Darlene
May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28059Darlene and all,
It is best to store in a dry place in paper sacks or something with good air circulation so they will not mold. Have seen put in glass jars with holds in top after dried for safe keeping and easy ID of what it contains.

May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28080Granny always made us drink sassafras tea to thin our blood for the long hot summer. She used whorehound to worm us and for coughs.
I hated cooked greens but loved to go with Granny to gather them. We gathered poke, sourdock, pigeon wing, voilet leaves, dandilion and many others.
I finally found the Collins/Johnson/Stodghill recipe to cure skin cancer. There are people in my family who swear this works.
Wild Trillium, also called ground lily, low john, wake robin, and many other names.
Grate the root, combine with the kidney fat from an animal, a little beeswax, and a bit of pine rosin. Simmer/render on a very slow fire and then strain, let set into a salve. Rub into skin cancers.
May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28081BillieLee is that the same thing we call “three leaf sisters” ? It blooms early in the spring . It has three big leafs and one bloom in the middle.
May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28082Granny8 yes that is it.
May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28084Thanks so much BillieLee !I am going to copy that down . Skin cancer runs in some of my family. We are sort of a moley bunch.LOL
May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28085Granny8 I am so glad that I finally found the recipe. The plant does not grow here in West Central TX. I don’t know how long it keeps, but if I need it I can ask a cousin from the West Plains Mo area to send me some. I just hope they can find it in the winter.
May 27, 2006 at 7:36 am #28087As far as I know it only comes up in the spring but I will be sure and look!
