🙂 Good to be back a Saponitown…I have been far removed from serious research, but am back full steam. Well, at least until classes start up again in a few weeks.

Noticed you’ve got some Covington ancestry. One Covington left Virginia about 1860 and ended up in the Brewster, Washington area. He ran a trading post on the Columbia River. He eventually married a relative of Chief Moses of the Columbia band of Indians, the descendants being shirt-tail relatives of mine.

Looks like my Covington’s came into MD from England in the 1600’s, starting with Nehemiah, he married a Vaughn, his son Thomas m. Rachel Ingram, his son Henry m. Mary Blackistone, their son John m. Mary Airey, still in MD. Then the family is in Rockingham, NC 1730’s…William m. Mary Wall, their daughter Rebecca m. Thomas Crawford and that is all I have on the Covington’s.
