Hey! I wanted to stop in here and check to see how your house is coming along. I hope they’re getting it done, I’m all anxious and giddy and it’s not even my house! I bet it’s been frusterating, the wait. It seems like so many things in this world are “Hurry up & wait.” I’m thinking about ya’ and if mental imagery helps, I’ll just keep imagining you all settled in there, snug & happy. Bless You. We fired the general contractor and lined up another guy. We had the last laugh too. Some guys showed up yesterday from the former contractor’s siding crew and put up half a wall of siding before he realized they’d come to my house by mistake! That was enjoyable. Then today the well drillers came in and drilled my well. I think I’ve picked out my appliances. My furnaces have been ordered. We’re moving along.

My house is moving along nicely. The plumber and electrician are getting everything hooked up. The septic guy is getting things lined up, and the furnace man will be in tomorrow. All the while my front porch and side deck are being built. It’s all coming together.

We’re closing in on it. Almost all of the individual projects are getting wrapped up. Now I have to stop and remember all the ends I need to tie up. We’ll be grading the lot tomorrow, making it look like a yard instead of a bomb site. So much going on, it’s dizzying.

😀 This is SO way farout! I’m so excited for you! I know all about those loose ends. It’s like, hurry up and wait, get all anxious and overwhelmed, happy and frustrated all at the same time. I am truly happy for you. This really is great, boy what I wouldn’t give for a reason to be nesting again. Well, I can do it vaicariously through you, cause’ you can tell me all about it. Well, it’s hard to believe I’m finally saying this, but we’ve started moving into the house. The lights are on, there’s some food in the new fridge, we’ve washed a few loads of laundry, vacuumed significant poundage of drywall dust. I think tomorrow we’ll actually start sleeping there, once we get the beds set up. Whew! It’s going to be very intense the next few weeks, so if you all don’t see me around much, that’s why. I love the way this place is blazing away without me. You guys are great.
We’ve got to start talking about an event for this summer where we can try to get together. Don’t let it slip by me. Now’s the time to talk it up.
