😎 That’s phat! As my kids were saying a few years ago. I am so excited for you. The hurry up and wait has finally come to an end. 🙂 Big sigh of relief. I’m very happy for you. We’ve been missing you around here, of coarse, but we do understand. Take your time and make it just the way you want it.;) Love Ya’, Lynella.

How’s the house? Are you getting all settled in there? We sure miss you around here. I hope all is going very well.;) Love & Light, Lynella.
October 2, 2004 at 3:57 am #13432I’m in. It’s a shambles, but I’m in, struggling away at getting things unpacked. Just one of those ironies, after all these many months, there still hasn’t been a moment when I can look at the place and see what I’ve been waiting for. Still covered in construction dust (we had to move in before everything was finished upstairs) all kinds of piles of mess everywhere you look, I keep thinking, ‘sure doesn’t look like the model.’ Hah!
This is the longest I’ve been away since I’ve started this. I do get little emails notifying me of posts and new user sign ups. This is a busy place! I’m proud of you all. And we have SO MANY new people registering all the time. There were about a dozen in the past week. Stepping back and looking at it this way really impressed me with what a strong group we are, and how active a place this is.
Now I have to get busy catching up on the past week’s posts.
October 2, 2004 at 3:57 am #13434Hang in there Linda! We moved into a new built home 14 months ago. We were so thrilled, thinking we would finally have a home with little maintenance after living in a very old house for so many years. Hah!!! Now we realize that the day you move in it’s still no where near “finished”.
Next time, it will be a newER home, where someone else has already had to do all the finishing touches. (Like paint touch ups after the final drywall repairs were made, water lines for an extra sink, electrical outlets and phone jacks in the basement, fencing the yard, adding a deck or back steps [back door steps were not included in our house], insulating the garage, sealing the interior basement walls and the exterior foundation, sealing the driveway and sidewalks……..it goes on and on….) But you will LOVE it when you get the construction stuff cleared away and can start enjoying your new home!
October 2, 2004 at 3:57 am #13435Linda,
It is so good to hear from you! Ah, yes, I too recall the joys of getting a NEW home! I still envy you though!:) Just think, when you’re all done you can sit back, relax and think, “maybe I should have went with lace pannels instead of shears, and aspen white paint instead of egg shell.” But that’s the really fun nesting part!;) Love Ya’. Lynella.
