Well if I was near I’d do the shoveling for you Brenda but it’s a bit of a hike!
The temps here are all out of wack, tomorrow will be up to about 60 above so it must be headed your way soon, I really- really -really hate winter!
I have heard geese on the wing and some song birds so things must be getting better! Stay warm and Safe Y’All.
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13289Everybody panics here in Ohio, you’d think it was gonna snow 3 feet!! We had 3-5 inches predicted and the food stores were mobbed. Turns out nothing much has happened so far. I had to go have some blood drawn for a test and I called first to make sure they were open. The poor lab tech sounded so upset you’d have thought they were gonna have to pluck her off the roof with a helicopter.
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13290Tina has already gone out and shoveled the driveway in case we have to get out on an emergency. There is about 6 inches of the 3 FEET that we are suppose to get. What worries us is that we are all electric so if power goes down, which is is likely to do, we have no heat…we are on well water and it takes electric to pull water from the pump, and we have no way of heating water for a cup of hot tea, coffee or hot cocoa. It hasn’t been above zero in days and the wind is now starting to blow.
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13291I’ll be praying your power stays on Brenda.
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13294We just got home to the WI winter wonderland. My husband is snowblowing about 12 inches off our driveway right now.
Florida 70’s is just a memory.

January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13298Cindy, They are forcasting more to come on wednesday and our temps are still down . We already got word all schools in the eastern part of the state are closed. Can’t even see my mailbox because the snow is that deep. winds 75 mph
I told my daughter we might not get out of here til the forth of July…….as long as we don’t loose power I could care less.
Be safe.

January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13302WOW!:)
I thought I’d check in on you guys. Things are still pretty messed up for me.
Brenda, 3 feet really “blows”! 2 years ago we had 8 feet right here in Deer Creek Valley Ranchos where I live. Our drive way is 1/4 mile long and we had 2 regular shovels. We dug from dawn till dusk for 3 days. The last twenty feet were hell, but we had just finished our last cigarette. We really hauled butt that last twenty feet!;) Right now it’s 36 degrees up here and should reach the 50’s today and sunny. God Bless You and You guys stay warm! Love & Light, Lynella.
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13320Brenda,
Hope you get out before July!
That’s A BUNCH of snow!
And Lynella,
Thanks for the encouragement on my posts.
Are you OK? I hope so.

January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13324Het Brenda, it’s not much of a consolation but it will all be just a memory in 2 weeks, really.
BTW you may want to invest in a solar panel the type used in motor homes, for times like what you are seeing.
Prayers a plenty.
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13409Hey! Our weather is becoming more seasonal again. It’s been spitting snow off & on for 2 days, but it smells like rain. I love that smell.;)
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13414Sorry guys but, here in good old Bracey we just had a dusting of snow and a pinch of ice. Aaaah, feels so good not to be in New Jersey anymore shoveling the big snows.
Well, I gotta go take a stroll across the street at the lake it is just too nice to stay indoors!
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13545WOW!:) It was down right toasty up here today! We had a lot of snow melt, YAY!;) But, we’ve got more coming sometime tomorrow I think…..BOO! HISS! I’m ready for summer! Love & Light and hope you’re all doing very well. Lynella.
January 12, 2005 at 6:17 pm #13718🙂 Hey! I made it back. Boy am I glad! It was so nice in Indiana on Tuesday. I just couldn’t believe it. As soon as I got back to Denver, it was cold and bitter. By the time I got my sister Clara back to Kiowa, it was drizzling snow. When I hit Aspen Park it was foggy and still drizzling. The roads were glassy. The pine trees were lightly coated with snow and then frosted on top of that. I love the way they look when it’s like that. Just like a post card. Today, the sun is out, but it’s burrrr Freezing out side. I’m just gonna’ be a veg-head today! Not going anywhere.;) Love & Light, I missed you guys. Lynella.
