There’s a Pow Wow next Saturday, April 26 in Virginia Beach.

Master of Ceremonies: Clark Stewart (Chickahominy) Arena Director: Jay Keys (Osage) Head Dancers: John Pingree (Shoshone) and Phyllis Campbell (Choctaw) Storyteller: Frank Blueskye (Seneca) Host Drum: Red Wolf (Hollister, NC) Guest Drum: Red Oak Singers (Raleigh, NC) The event opens to the public at 11:00 a.m. for educational and craft displays/sales. The grand entry will take place at 12 noon followed by American Indian drumming, dancing and activities, until the Closing Ceremony at 5:45 p.m. Start Date: Saturday, April 26, 2008 End Date: Saturday, April 26, 2008 Start Time: 11 a.m End Time: 6 p.m.

We had hoped to go to this when the original date was set….but, had already made reservations at Frisco when we found out the date had been changed. May be next year…..

Great photos…we heard that it was extremely hot and many of the dancers and audience had to be treated for heat exhaustion.
