So Isham/Isom probably an English surname / relatively common given name of the time.
I’m still noticing more rhyming/repeating given names in these lines, that stand out. Walter Smith – one of my grandmother’s uncles – (Indiana Jones-Smith descendant) married into a line with similar heritage. One of the names that stood out on his wife’s line: Aughtby Oughtry Huston Patton 1771 Mecklenburg County – 1862 LaPorte IN. He named one of his children Huston as well. His mother was Jane Houston 1740-1833 who made the move from NC to IN as well – no known parentage. Elmira Myra Fish, and Ora Dora Smith are other typical examples.
Another unique first name I’m seeing is Isabinda or Icybinda.
William and Isabinda Goin (1827-1892) her name is recorded Icybinda on her headstone. Her granddaughter Arabelle McMillan married John Sager Drybread (1833-1901).
Rozabelle is another name on this side I had not seen before.
There is also an Isabinda Jones (1839-1915) on my Grandmother’s side who marries John Hain (1836-1830). She is from the Indiana Jones-Smith side.
Telitha is another unique name in our lines – also with unique middle name (another Massa/Massalina), and last name – Pancake. Guessing they were originally Pfannkuchen.
Telitha married Henry M. Foust (1838-1923) in Bartholomew Co, Indiana
