I need to stand corrected, it is Goshen Swamp near Duplin Co. N.C.. This was owned by the Herring family with about 216 acres deeded to Thomas Parrish for the marriage to Elizabeth Herring.

I have another, Mary Williams 1700 Isle of Wright, VA, d. 1750 Bertie, NC any ideas about these places in the time frame listed.
Bob
There is a Bertie county formed in 1722, in North Carolina.

And I imagine that it is Isle of Wight in Virginia. Which still exists today.

Still, does anyone have any info about this area called Goshen Swamp near Duplin Co., NC?
Thanks, Bob.
It’s Isle of Wight County. Lots of people from there moved to Bertie County, including many of my ancestors.
