Hi Sophronia
Sorry to hear of your loss. But, hope we can meet up at the park on Saturday. We will probably head that way shortly after breakfast. Since we will be in Clarksville already it won’t take long to drive over there.

December 23, 2006 at 3:57 pm #27830Just wanted to thank all for the wonderful weekend…..we had a blast. And thoroughly enjoyed the swimming, fellowship, food, and meeting new friends. I think we should make this an annual thing. Maybe use the first weekend in August???? And think about renting the big lodge for next time…at least for headquarters. Hope everyone had as good a time as we did….it was a splendid weekend. May be see some of you next weekend in King….
Aho

December 23, 2006 at 3:57 pm #27845Hi Becky, Sorry we didn’t get to meet. My sister and I went over to the park on Friday evening after we arrived in VA. No one was there yet except Felicia and her family setting up. We thought we would make it back on Saturday, but with the Church service, which was jammed to the rafters ( a figure of speech) and visiting and meetng new family members it was impossible to do since we had to get on the road back to NJ before the major traffic jams. (Still ran into them and didn’t get home until almost midnight. It was wonderful being with folks we knew and folks we were just meeting, after all these years, for the first time. So sorry we did not meet all of you, but it will happen sometime I’m sure. Keep me posted on all events and stuff. Where Felicia was camped was beautiful.I’m sure you had a great time. Wow~~~the ancesters must have been rejoicing also. For now, all the best~~Sophronia
December 23, 2006 at 3:57 pm #27848Sophronia…yeah, I am sorry we didn’t cross paths, either. Friday night we went up to Occoneechee and hung out with Bee and her crowd since it was kinda late by the time we checked in and all.
Saturday was filled with swimming…eating…..swimming….eating…swimming…napping….swimming and then we all enjoyed sitting around the campfire and chatting. And the trip to Fort Christanna on Sunday topped it all off. Maybe you can join us next year…if we can either keep it on the same weekend or set a certain weekend to have it each year. We are close by so it’s just a short jaunt for us…

Sounds like you had a great, ful’filling’ time.:- Maybe another time, we’ll “get together”. Enjoy the rest of the summer. Sophronia
December 23, 2006 at 3:57 pm #27870Sorry all but I was not able to attend the gathering this year. I’ve been so excited about attending for about a year now and missed a great opportunity. I am sure that those who did attend had a great time without me.

I didn’t make it to the gathering either but I did briefly visit Felicia and her family as they were setting up their tent. Thought I would get back over on Saturday but was unable to do so. So I missed an opportunity also for mmeeting some of the Saponitown folks. Perhaps next year, LORD willing. I am sure everyone had a great time. The location is beautiful. Have you been before? I haven’t. Take care and enjoy your summer. Sophronia
