August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #12547At least four of my main lines are listed here. It’s a shame the book is unavailable, it would be fascinating to see what these folks were doing.
August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #12580Thanks Vance, well there is perhaps 5 of my families names there, this book maybe aavailable through other sources librbaries, reference areas etc.
August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #12633Vance,
Thank you for taking the time to put all that on here for us. It is quite interesting. I think I saw a couple of names on there. One or two that are mine & Kerry’s. Evans being one. yeah, maybe I can do an inter library loan to get to see it. What year was it published? I think if it’s too old, the Denver library just locks them up and won’t share.:) Well, Happy New Year! Love & Light, Lynella.
August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #12648My city library doesn’t have it.
If I get the chance to take some days off work just for genealogy work again I’ll check and see if the Ohio State library has it. Unfortunately they have bankers hours and while they have tremendous genealogy information, you can’t get to it if you work.
August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #14368Just wanting to bring this thread back if we are talking about traders..any more info about this book?

August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #18437Sue,
This was an EXCELLENT IDEA!;) Thank You. I see Miller on there too. I actually spaced this clean out.
HANA,
Hey! Long time girl! E-mail me!

You may find they simply provided transportation from one village to
another as did my “Austin” family.

I;m sure my family also traded and I believe I read where they traded furs, jewelry, hides, etc.
August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #24062I have several family names that are on the list. Most in the 1790-1800 were in Eastern Kentucky. However many come from NC and SC in the 1600’s. Thanks for the info.
August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #37048Unfortunately the link don’t work anymore.

August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #37049Similarly, The Hortons and Butlers of VA, married into each other. The union of that line married the son of a Parrish and grandson of a Sinclair decendant in OH.

My tree is getting so big these days I don’t know everyone on it..(there was a time I did) Ive added so many names in the last few months I have no idea the number. Still many to verify as Ive taken a lot of tree hints, and Im everywhere with it like a chicken with my head cut off. So, I just noticed I missed a name on here. Crazy how many. Im like, where was this guy yesterday? As if I could see a needle in a haystack yards away.
So I noticed a Bull I missed on my tree that is a few generations back on the Butlers side.
Bull 1640, not sure where hes from but his daughter born in NJ 1680.
Looks like the family ends up in PA, marries into the Butlers of VA, marries the Hortons and off to OH
as you follow the generations and marriages into other names as they go…
August 10, 2004 at 9:22 pm #37051Unbelievable.
I just randomly decide to run down hints on trees and find Elizabeth Jemimah Butler b 1770 Shanandoah VA
has parents…mother is a Burley b.1746 Frederick VA.
Guess I wasn’t done with this list.
