Greetings to all our dear friends –
May this find you in good health and enjoying your summer. We wanted to keep you informed of our upcoming Pauwau. Last year was a great success … the community outpouring was fabulous – we had over 1400 people for our first Pauwau and we are so grateful to all the dancers, vendors, and all those who came to celebrate our County of Powhatan whose name is in honor of the great Chief Powhatan himself!
We are starting a NEW TRADITION … each year we will establish a THEME for our PAUWAU –
This year our theme will be “On Eagles Wings”. We as a family have been through a lot of struggles going from a family of 3 to 8 in just 2 years. Building a new house and trying to begin a whole new life for our 6 babies. So – we feel like God has blessed us, renewed our strength and now we “Soar on Eagles Wings”. We are sure that this will be a blessing to many and also many of you may have been through much and God has helped you overcome many trials and heartaches. We want this to be a time of thanksgiving and of renewed hearts and kindred spirits.
Our location is about 1 mile away from last year – it will be held at the Powhatan Rescue Squad Grounds with acres of fields for our Dance Circle, plenty of parking – and great picnic pavilions and even a play ground area for the youngsters.
The location is quiet, and so quaint – it will make for GREAT Pauwau grounds. Proceeds this year will help benefit the Powhatan Volunteer Rescue Squad and we are so appreciative of the use of their facility.

Tried getting directions for this pow.I don’t think the address on the link to the flier is the address for the event.Yahoo appears to give me a private residence.
Mapquest gives 3920 Marion Harlan Ln for the Powhatan Rescue Squad;is that the right address?

That’s the address listed on the flyer for location of the pow wow. I can only assume it’s correct. I did email them for confirmation. The address at the bottom of the flyer is their personal address, I guess.

I was a little neglient:( I forgot to click on “map and directions” once I found the flyer.
It’s easy to get to from Central VA;I’ll get on I-64 and go east.Will be there!:)
Not sure what our plans are that far ahead….depends a lot on family…we have a new granddaughter due most any day now. And that is quite a drive for us.

I can’t seen to find out any info. regarding this pow wow.
