OK, I need a graphic to see how/if you are related. This is not the family who has the Blackfoot story in my family though.

It’s not a lineal descent. The descendant of Benjamin D Green of Licking Co married my 2g-granduncle, not my 2g-grandfather.
I joined Saponitown in my quest to find out more about our family’s oral history of a Wyandot connection in our Robbins line. I am still chipping away at that brick wall, but I learned from some very kind people on this forum that we have possible Native roots in the Green family…possibly Shawnee or Tuscarora. It has been suggested that my 4th great grandfather, Regnal/Reginald Green is buried in a mound. Our Greens originated in Virginia and settled in Johnstown, Licking Co, OH, (like TechTeach’s family) and then in Franklin Co, OH. Grandfather Clarence Green was quite skilled at fishing and gardening. This family was very close and spent weekends at a family cottage on Lake Erie. On the tree below you will see John Robbins on Clarence Green’s maternal line. He is the ancestor who married Wyandot women. I probably do not have Wyandot blood as I believe I descend from John’s first wife. I have had an autosomal DNA test and am very interested in sharing with other Greens and Robbins.

Have you uploaded your results to Gedmatch?
I do a lot of atdna research and would be glad to add you to our database. Several Green/Greene families are known to be NA and we are trying to sort them out through Atdna. I also have some Robbins but not as many as we have Green. In Licking Co, Ohio the only people I have are the Skaggs, Longhunters and several had NA wives.
Also, I have just got my husband’s results back and he is a Watts/Jeffries from Greene Co Ohio. Parker Jeffries took his case to the Supreme Court to get voting rights and was able to prove he was only 1/4 Native American and therefore allowed to vote. All of these people go back to early Va.
I am on Gedmatch (and Facebook DNA pages, Vivian). I tested with all 3 major companies. I am: A434343, FN19096, and M512763. Mom is A231339. We are told that our Green line is native. A cousin believes that they were Tuscarora from near Shepherdstown, WV, but I don’t believe that. Too many hints that they were Shawnee.
Two stories in our family: Elizabeth Green was Indian and left a recipe book that no one knows where it is. Another story from a distant cousin is that we are related to Chief Logan.

PS: I am going to try to see if I can further isolate my Blackfoot DNA. I have a Ralston cousin who is uploading to Gedmatch. She does not descend from my Blackfoot, Nancy Agnes McLane. I may be able to isolate Nancy’s DNA from the Ralston. I am struggling though, with the new Genome Mate Pro; I am having trouble seeing how to import in a simple way from the old and then it crashes. I will try to use the old version.
Yes, I have uploaded to GEDmatch. I am F420957. GEDCOM 2719323. I appreciate all the DNA help I can get as I am still very much a novice.
In case you don’t have it already… On GedMatch I’m M223631, my sister is M217791, my mother M103622, my uncle M026223. Also on 23andMe we have my grandmother’s 1st cousin from the Dora MCS Smith line above – whose brother married into the Greens.
My mother is awaiting the results of a full mtDNA test from FTDNA. I’ve just mailed off an FTDNA test for myself, my previous one was through 23andMe.
Does anyone know if any Greens from Berkeley ended up in Tennessee? I have been corresponding with a FTDNA Family Finder match who may possibly connect with my Greens, but her family has been in TN for the last 200 years. My Green family went to Licking Co, OH, but I’m wondering if a band traveled south along the Appalachian Mountains and settled in Tennessee. Just speculation.
